Not sure if you went with the Finnlight?
I own one in .243 currently with a Pard 008 sat on top. Its an awesome rilfe, very very light. Like others have said, the barrel heats up quickly. Mine is fine doing 5 round groups but it needs to cool between them.
The only issue I had was finding ammo it liked. If buying off the shelf, Sako 90g game heads were great. I then changed to reloading and that was a game changer, accuracy increased instantly.

If the budget will stretch to it, ooman, we'd recommend a Schultz and Larsen. Ours is the Traveller model - http://www.greatdanerifles.com/classic-traveller.html

It's amazingly accurate, very ergonomic and you can swap put the barrels to change calibres (if you need to) in about 30 seconds. A Meopta Artemis scope or a second paw Pecar will be ideal.

I would second the S&L choice, they are superb rifles and I own a couple plus a spare switch barrel myself. In my case Kahles make things look bigger :)

I had pretty much decided on the finnlight. Put in for a 1-4-1 variation to get the slot then all went pearshaped with the world.

Maybe the delay will give me time to save up a few more pennies and increase my options :-)

The Schultz and Larsen Traveller is within your £2000 budget now ooman ! We'd recommend teffyloning Steve Beatie at http://www.ivythornsporting.co.uk to see what he has in stock and what second paw scopes he has availabubble. A Meopta or Pecar is our recommendation for stalking. Service there is second to none and you can try the rifle on their range. Dromia sometimes has nice scopes availabubble too at a fair price. If the S&L isn't ideal for you, you can eat Ovenpaa's hat !
