Initially Fox Firearms were selling them for £1150 - when most were retailing for around £1300. Then, it became America's best selling rifle so Ruger made a couple of mods and jacked the price up - to around £1700 - the same as the Tikka. I think Foxy is still doing them for around £1200 but I'll check tomorrow.

I have a gen 1 in 6.5CM with a Ti bolt shroud, muzzle brake, Fortmeier bipod and a Sightron SIII 8-32x56 . Both my son and I have used this out to 1000yrds, my son (when aged 14) has hit a hens egg at 500 yards and achieved a 1" group at 300yards. In my opinion a great rifle for the money.

I apologise if I'm missing something but why would you spend £1780 on a rifle you clearly aren't happy with and I'm assuming you didn't try before parting with nearly 2K?.

Knowing the trade price I suspect Brian has put his prices up along the way :)

This is going to sound somewhat churlish, but they really are what they are! A modular rifle that shoot extremely well. Personally, they’re not for me. I really don’t like the modular chassis thing.
Did you get a PEPR mount? The if not, you’re going to need extra high or extra-extra high rings!!
Remember, fitting stuff on it, think AR platform.

Like I have said before what I know about scopes you can fit on the back of a postage stamp that's probably the issue. The answer to your question is I just fished a set of 30mm rings out of a bag in the bottom of a drawer and fitted them. I'm guessing they are too low. The SAGA goes on I really need to get it on a range. And purchase a set of PEPR mounts I suppose.

No, you just sell it and buy something else. Life is to short to worry about money.

Is this the mount you are referring to.
