Re: SGC new lever rifle
thanks.
so looks like length of mag might be a bit restricted due to lever throw. I wonder if the pistol grip is attached to the lower, or to the lever, would make a lot more sense for it to be part of the lever

Re: SGC new lever rifle
I'd hazard a guess that it would be a short stroke lever throw anyway and from looking at the slot for the lever on the bottom of the receiver in the photo the lever will operate regardless of the size of the magazine.Sixshot6 wrote:Mod to short stroke as a solution maybe?bradaz11 wrote:thanks.

Re: SGC new lever rifle
not if theres a long mag actually stopping the lever going foward, remember the mags sit at an anglesnayperskaya wrote: I'd hazard a guess that it would be a short stroke lever throw anyway and from looking at the slot for the lever on the bottom of the receiver in the photo the lever will operate regardless of the size of the magazine.
and from the vid, looks like the lever is separate from pistol grip

Re: SGC new lever rifle
From the photo it looked pretty obvious that the lever is seperate from the pistol grip, at least it did to me.My take on it is that you'd release your grip on the pistol grip and push the lever forward with the back of your fingers, then pull it back and grip the pistol grip again for the next shot and repeat.bradaz11 wrote:snayperskaya wrote: I'd hazard a guess that it would be a short stroke lever throw anyway and from looking at the slot for the lever on the bottom of the receiver in the photo the lever will operate regardless of the size of the magazine.

Not all the while Savage produce the Edge/Axis....

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
