Re: First time at the Bisley Zero range
I believe this is the information you need assuming you are shooting GP11 with no wind:
Range Velocity Impact Drop ToF Energy Drift
0 2560 -1.5 0 0 2532 0
100 2386 0 3.03 0.12 2200 0
200 2223 -4.64 12.2 0.25 1909 0
300 2065 -16.36 28.45 0.39 1648 0
400 1915 -36.26 52.89 0.55 1417 0
500 1773 -65.68 86.84 0.71 1215 0
600 1638 -106.2 131.89 0.88 1037 0
700 1513 -159.67 189.89 1.07 884 0
800 1398 -228.32 263.07 1.28 755 0
900 1296 -314.68 353.96 1.5 649 0
1000 1208 -421.59 465.4 1.74 564 0
[EDIT: Apparently this forum removes multiple spaces so my beautifully constructed table is now ruined!]
Or rather, go here and enter the exact information for your load and also wind speed and direction on the day.
So, if I'm right, zero your rifle as normal at 100 yards and then adjust your scope up the number of clicks that corresponds with the 1000 yard impact. So if each click on your scope is 1/4 MOA, that's 2.5 inches at 1000 yards. Since the bullet is dropping 421.59 inches (around 1.5 seconds flight time) you'll need to raise your point of impact by that much (about 35 feet!) which is just under 42.25 MOA - so 169 clicks up! That should get you on paper.

EDIT, nevermind... you should be able to use the [ code ] tags to keep it formatted, but not use spaces, just use tabs...

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!

Re: First time at the Bisley Zero range
I thought it was free..
Not kidding, it appears that someone behind the counter is applying different costs depending on how you ask to use the range.
Although it is possible that a rule was made only to be changed again shortly after.

Re: First time at the Bisley Zero range
When we picked the S&L up before the Imperial we were charged £4 to use the zero range.
What's going on here, different rates for different people at different times?

Re: First time at the Bisley Zero range
As it s only £10 to use a target on Short Siberia for an hour, you might as well team up with someone else, or take a spotting scope, and get a 100 or 200 yard zero,
