As mentioned above 5Kg is the limit per household unless that address is registered, there are various forms of registration I believe dependant upon the amount of powders being stored, my registration covers me for 30Kg now and as a dealer I had to pay for that, however I was led to believe by my FEO that had it been for private use then it would have been free. When they came round they were actually more concerned to iterate that although 5 KG is the limit only 2Kg should be in the vicinity of the loading bench! Other than that the registration to hold more than 5 Kg is simply that. Presumably it is to let the appropriate people aware should they have to visit the house i.e. the Fire Brigade. After the 30Kg limit I think it goes up to 500Kg and a whole new set of rules apply.

My FEO suggested this as well but I have never looked into it.
