So this thread, and also the acquisition of a Lantac imminent, I started down this path and there seems to be a lot of contenders around sub £500 for scopes of 1-4x or 1-6x...
The first one that pops to mind is obviously the Vortex Strike Eagle, but that seems to be one of the older models now, with new models of similar style scopes hitting the market - I wonder if anyone has tried any.

Certainly no lack of choice (and I realise this is just from optics warehouse - and there are many more options - I've had many good dealings with them so will continue to use them for optics).... but where do you make up the choice.
In weight? Reticle? FFP Is tempting if the right reticle so you can judge those drops, but in practical do you really concentrate that hard on drops when you're going for speed on an IPSC Target - even out to 100, if you aim at the top would a .22lr not still hit the alpha?
At this point I'm stumped.
Though that C-More does look good, 1-10x in such a small factor, that half-mil-dot reticle looks awfully busy though.
Need somewhere to go and put my eye through some of these methinks...
