Just had a look on the Lantac UK Facebook site, it's there. I think I nearly dribbled a little bit, lol.

Just put in an order for the Lantac LA-SF :- anyone had a play with one yet and know how reliable it is?

What sort of time frame are you looking at before you get to play with it?

I'd be interested to know the reliability of the Lantac. Been looking at them.

Although the Kriss does have the ability to use Ruger Barrels which is interesting.

Did you go for the basic LA-SF or a more tricked out model? I'm seriously considering one myself.

Internally it's the tried and tested CMMG bolt and barrel, the difference being Lantac buy in unchambered barrels and cut the chamber to match spec themselves.
The only issue is that firing pins usually fail between 10-15k, mine failed just after 16k on my CMMG. A quick call and I had another in 2 days.
Unlike other models swapping the firing pin is easy and you should also remove the pin and clean it.

Just the basic model. Can always change the furniture myself, no need for a shorter barrel and it already has a match chamber.

I've used the Kriss of a friend, but with relatively small amount of use he'd already gone through 2 extractors and I believe a firing pin, it didn't inspire confidence. Add to that I've never used a Ruger that I particularly liked, including a tricked out VQ barrelled model, I'd rather steer clear of Ruger Barrels, purely for personal preference.

Time will tell on the Lantac, but I intend to put it through it's paces in some mini-rifle comps next year...
