Powder manufacturers are the best tested source indeed however they really don't provide much help to cast bullet shooters for example so they also have their limitations.

I know of no handloader that relies on only one source.

You need several books on your shelf. And those books need up dating periodically. Others will tell you different. They are wrong. That’s just the way it is...
