Hi Chris,
I have never used anything on the t3 bolt in 7 years and still silky smooth, if it ain't broken leave it alone.

My son has on t3 and my uncle has 2 t3's and none of them have had anything on the bolts

Never oil or grease any bolts on my bolt action rifles.

A couple of years ago, I bought an M595 that had been set up as a TR. Fitted with an 8 twist 30" s/steel barrel and a birch laminate thumbhole stock, plus a nicely made aluminium "floor" to block the magazine opening.
The rifle was virtually as new. A really nice action, and now in a GRS stock, and with a CG Universal 2-stage trigger.
Likes 80grain bullets at 2900 f/sec.
For a cheap semi custom rifle build, the M595 is hard to beat.

One of my F TR partners occasionally outshoots me with a 595 in 223 - we are more often than not neck and neck in 308 so being whipped by a 223 is "humbling" to say the least. Granted, it has a 30" 6 twist barrel on it shooting 90 grain SMKs into really tiny groups and is generally only rolled out on fairly calm days.

I have several Tikkas, including a 595 that was a 223 up until a rebarrel to 204 Ruger. Sadly, the 223 barrel pitted out whilst I was away in the Gulf (every other firearm was Ok with exactly the same pre-treatment). I subsequently came across a number of articles over barrel steel... and the fact that Tikkas occasionally rust out for no apparent reason.

That said, it was subsequently converted by Neil McKillop using a Pacnor barrel - absolutely first class work.

I have tried to upload a photo of the 204 in action - it may work or it may not... and apologies if it should offend.

I would snap up another 223 in a heartbeat - hint, Dromia...

Great actions and so smooth.
