beagle ????

Beagling is the method of increasing a bullet diameter by using adhesive aluminium tape on 1 side of the mould (see Photo).

This method will increase the bullet diameter by up to .003 without having to alter the mould.

You can purchase said tape from your local DIY store or outlets such as Screwfix.

If you want to try it pm me your address and I will send you a roll. I have enough rolls of the tape to sink a battleship.

If you are not in a hurry for the mold then google NOE bullet molds they are an American company but there molds are far superior to Lee and I guarantee they will have a mold to fit your bill and they will post it to the UK.

You could size it down to .314 depending on the kit you have available to do it. I think beagling the mold is your best option if you don,t want to fork out for a more expensive mold.

Why do you need them to be .314 I am guessing its for a .303 have you slugged the bore. Do you know what your groove size is. Slugging the bore is the first thing you should be doing before thinking about buying a mold.

I'd read up on cast boolits in 2 groove Lee Enfield barrels; unless anyone on here has experience (Dromia?), before splashing the cash on a mold. Would seem likely that normal rules for boolit sizing probably don't apply here and what works in a 5 groove may not work in 2.
