get a nice K31 Amir, I would bring it to the secret spot but suspect the lack of moderation would wake even the local dopers

A bit of checking around reveals Kranks have a Persian Mauser in stock, not a ceremonial job but a Persian nonetheless.
Only trouble is getting to Yorkshire from London to have a look at it...

If they have a range of them, ask them to send some pictures over! Pictures of the receiver, woodwork, muzzle and any markings would be the first place to start.
