Whatever you do, do not use anything wooden down the barrel. If it were to snap it can be problematical to remove.

For a quick and dirty chamber cast then melted flowers of sulphur is good, no noticeable shrinkage, low melt temp, cheap and easy to get. Its down side is it is quiet fragile, it can be made a bit stronger by adding graphite, 1 part to 3 parts flowers of sulphur.

The bore size of a 303 can vary so much, some are .315 or more, and 9.5 grains of Unique is a very light load.
