Mine are the opposite.......in both my Mosins and SVD the PPU factory ammo is worse than milsurp accuracy-wise.......but reloading using their 150gr .311" SPBT bullets give very good results, less than 1 MOA in the SVD.It could be that mine don't like heavier bullets, especially true with the SVD as the 1:320mm twist favours a 150gr bullet, as the PPU factory 54r rounds are 174gr if I remember right.lasbrisas wrote:I use them in 4 of my rifles, SMLE, No5, Mosin Nagant and Arisaka Type 99 and they all shoot well enough.

oh yes I hate ppu factory ammo but the bullets are ok for reloading, I haven't had any issues and they are accurate enough for my needs. I use the 174gr in all of mine, it keeps it simple and I also use N140 in most rifles.snayperskaya wrote:Mine are the opposite.......in both my Mosins and SVD the PPU factory ammo is worse than milsurp accuracy-wise.......but reloading using their 150gr .311" SPBT bullets give very good results, less than 1 MOA in the SVD.It could be that mine don't like heavier bullets, especially true with the SVD as the 1:320mm twist favours a 150gr bullet, as the PPU factory 54r rounds are 174gr if I remember right.lasbrisas wrote:I use them in 4 of my rifles, SMLE, No5, Mosin Nagant and Arisaka Type 99 and they all shoot well enough.
