Don't worry too much about the magazine, it's not meant to be removed too often. Just strip it, give it a bit of a clean (the mag & the action), and reassemble it. Should be fine.

It's not like a AR press the button and mags drops you need to pull down on the mag as well as push in the lever.

Did you throw those bullets up range with a catapult? :)
