Pure lead ingots are easily marked with a fingernail wheel weight ingots less so. Or drop them on a concrete floor lead will have a dull thud wheel weights will have a ring to them.
Just use up the lino type in small amounts into your pot to eke out your lead, no more than 5% won't harden your alloy too much.
