Indeed.
I rarely use HV .22RF ammunition these days & need to shoot some up just to get rid.

Same here, I seldom shoot other than with a sound moderator and subs with a .22 Rimfire. Exceptions being older rifles that have not been screwcut.

I'm in the same boat the extra noise just isn't worth the flatter trajectory or slight increase in range.

In theory the bullet could be flying slightly quicker with addition of the sound moderator due to the free boost effect however my chrono does not work with subs so I have never tested this theory with a rimfire.

Just out of interest, what is the velocity of the subs that you are using?
I always use SK Standard Plus @ 1050fps, and a moderator doesn't seem to do much to tame the noise. (SAK & Parker Hale mods).

CCI Subs are 1050fps and Winchester 42 max subs are 1065fps

I've an old style Gamma Master that tracks right down to .177 pellets.
I'll stick a fresh PP3 in it & run some subs over it with & without the mod when I get a chance.

Mine is a Steinert acoustic type so cannot deal with subsonic shots.
