To be perfectly honest if I was looking for one now it wouldn't be the RPR, the Tikka Tac A1 is made to a much higher standard of fit and finish, and it's around £200 cheaper!.

Without a doubt, ask anyone who's managed to get one.

The RPR was a bit of a ground breaker when it first came out, but, the Gen2 is basically a good excuse to gouge their customers.

All it has for an extra £400 is a different fore-end "to make scope mounting easier"?? since when does the scope mount on the fore-end? it's simply a cheper version without the full length Picatinny rail. A muzzle brake, well that's about £30 for a cheap one if you're lucky and it doesn't really need one with the straight through recoil absorbing design.

And best of all the aluminium bolt shroud, a fix to a non-existent problem, the plastic one is fine, it doesn't even need it anyway and it's covered by the buffer tube so it has little chance of being damaged anyway.

Call me cynical but I think someone just got greedy, they would have been better off fitting a better hand grip, a nice rubbery Magpul is much nicer than the hard plastic one that comes with it!.
