Thats if you can get Varget...!! In the US, its THE powder for .223, but because its so popular over there, its pretty rare over here.
(Unless its recently become plentiful again, but my local RFD hasn't had any for a couple of years...)
Like Laurie, I use H335 for .223 and also for .308

I've just been using Reloder15 to push 69gr SMK's with decent results. I'm curious if anyone has any other recommendations for getting the best performance from that bullet out of a 16" barrel?

Never had any problem getting Varget from my local RFD. I always keep 2 tubs in my stock, as I reload for 3x.223 rifles.

H335 has been my staple powder for 20 years, but I'm getting some really nice results with Benchmark.

N140 has always worked for me.
And you can always get it.

RS52 works well with 80grain bullets in a 30" 1:8 barrel

More and more, this is a consideration when choosing components.

Use it in most of my rifles.
Not benchrest levels of performance but it just works.

Maybe its just my local RFDs that have a poor choice of powders then... When I finished my last tub of H335, I thought I'd give Ramshot Tac a try as many people were enthusing about it, but neither of my local gunshops had that in stock either, so i ended up getting more H335...

N133 works well for me, here is a 10 shot group shot at 100yds, cold bore, no sighters and 3 minute time limit at our xmas shoot.
