Steyr SSG trigger guards

Re: Steyr SSG trigger guards
Surprising the SSG has lasted as long as it has. Brittle stocks, brittle mags, brittle trigger guards. Good job the barrel's cold hammered! As long as you don't want to change one....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

I looked into buying one a few years back-lovely rifle but the Airfix stock put me off. Got a cracking deal on an ex-display Ruger M77 VT instead.

Hi Matt. I know this is a bit of an old thread now but is your friend still making the SSG trigger guards? I’ve just cracked mine! I’m not sure when it happened - just noticed it today. Cheers, lard

Re: Steyr SSG trigger guards
The Styria ones are still available from Austria. I have one on my SsG 69. All steel great piece of kit.
Does add a lot of weight to the rifle though.
