The chargemaster should shave the time weighing out powder in half, if not slightly better. Being automated I can be throwing the next charge whilst I'm seating the bullet.

Currently the powder throwing job goes to my other half, so this will save her some time and leave me self sufficient to reload in half the time, rather than both of us spending twice as long

I looked into a 110v version, you can pick them up for around £250, then add shipping (circa £30 insured) and then another roughly £100 in duty and VAT it then leaves you with a product that's a grey import and no local warranty and a saving of less than £80. For such an expensive item I'd rather have the local support.

Hornady and Lyman make a very similar device. I've reviewed all three and bought the RCBS.

Like everyone, I pondered over buying one - once I got it I wish I'd bought one 20 years ago.

That was going to be my follow up question. I've been using the Lyman Gen6 for over a year (used to use RCBS 5-0-5 scale and trickler) and I wish I had bought it sooner. Out of curiosity, what was it about the RCBS that you preferred?

Got rid of my Charge Master when I got the Target Master trickler, faster and more consistently accurate.

I'd trust my balance beam scales over digital scales in that price range any day.

I use a target master trickler excellent bit of kit.

I had been tempted by the targetmaster, I must admit.

But I like the idea of not having to throw first then trickle. just put the pan on, press a button and wait for the load.

Depending on how I get on wit the RCBS, I may move to target master, but I'll give the green-machine a good going first.

Let us know how you get on with it.

You don't even have to press a button for subsequent charges. As soon as you replace the pan and the scale zeros it will start dispensing again. You'll more than half your reloading time - I would not be without one. There is a little tweak to the dispensing nozzle that ensures accurate throws with all different powders. You can buy a little insert from David at The Shed, or find a bit of thin plastic tube (I used some heat shrink) and cut the outlet with a very fine angle. I find this throws loads with unerring accuracy. You might need to experiment, but its worth it.

Second that - the Shooting Shed insert is worth having.

Probably a good idea, a friend who has bought on in the US has had to send his back for a repair and replacement and both times he had a ton of hassle getting it through customs without being charged VAT etc again. (N.B. He did get charged both times despite adding the 'magic code' to the label which supposedly bypasses it, he then had to go through two 3 month rigmaroles to get it refunded).
