RCBS uniflow very inconsistent with N140?

They all went bang and grouped ok. Not terribly different than some factory rounds. Will make more guy at the club is loaning me a trickier to play with.

Apart from the powder measuring issue I had it's pretty easy. In fact too easy

Off topic but I've just realised I've made a huge mistake getting my fac.

For nine months I've been firing other people's firearms using other people's ammo. After the range I just went to the pub. This cleaning business is a pain in the arse.

Stay away from Russian milsurps ammo they have corrosive primers. Horrible stuff.

Clean properly and thoroughly and it is no worse than anything else, it just takes a bit longer.....it's all my Mosins eat and probably all they've ever eaten and are none the worse for it.

Target Master is an excellent piece of kit, so good in fact I have two funded by selling my RCBS Chargemaster which doesn't hold a candle to a Targetmaster set up. However it is dependant on using a decent set of balance beam scales, the Lee for instance just won't cut it with its bouncy poise.

What uniflow do you have, the pistol/small rifle or the "larger" rifle version? I had the large rifle one and struggled to get decent loads for my .223 using n140 and tr140. 24ish grains in the large chamber seemed to be too close to the lower end of the range (10 to 110grains), so l got the small rifle one with a 0.5 to 40 grain range, which improved things. A baffle and never letting the powder get closer than 10mm from the base of the plastic feed tank got much better results. I now dedicate the small unit to .223 and the large unit to .308 and .303. Definitely found that the throwing action has an effect, nice and smooth and it's spot on or 0.1+/-grain variation. An obvious grind of a trapped grain results in the weight thrown varying by way too much so now I straight away recycle that one. It has however resulted in a rather large cash outlay! And I still use a trickier when reloading long distance or competition rounds.
