I really don't see why not. The maximum amount that I have put through mine at one time was a 100 rounds.

I have no idea what the buffer for the 9mm weighs or if there is a difference between the 9mm and .45
I could weigh the buffer for you if you would really like to know.

The buffer is a 556 buffer. I have a carbine in mine with a small spacer to take up the slack in the tube

intresting, from reading online about 9mm AR's they normally use a heavier buffer to stop the blow back bolt from comming back too early

The bolt on the SGC lever release is not a standard 9mm AR bolt. It's SGCs own and weighs over 13oz alone!

The heavier buffer reduces the cyclic rate to help feed on full auto and to reduce bolt bounce, both are not an issue for the SGC LR rifle.

...... and for everyone who is interested .... the buffer in my SGC 9mm weighs 161 grams :)
