Hodgdons H4895 for .308 and .303, max loads can be reduced 60% to youth loads for 50m shootings.

Hodgdons Titegroup for the .44 Mag.

Forget about reduced loads until you are a more experienced re loader.

I'd be tempted to say, buy your ammo and enjoy shooting first for a year or so once you get your ticket, before messing about with reloads.....at least that way you'll have a benchmark to measure against, when you start hand loading, given the variability of it. Learn one thing at a time IMHO.

A suggestion for .308/7.62x51mm - Reload Swiss RS50 (previously known in the UK as TR140) - almost everyone in my club uses it with excellent results.

Well Ive only missed 2 weeks in the last 6 months ( actually over 7) firing factory and reloads in all calibers I've mentioned and others. I need to try and keep costs low* might not save money but I'll probably shoot more for the same amount. Plus to be honest it gives me something to do I like tinkering and need a hobby. Might even be therapeutic. I need something to get me off my ass after the last few years.

I will be buying factory amo too for a while. I will also get first hand experience from club reloaders. Don't worry I'm not going to jump straight into this hence the stupid questions.

Thanks for the suggestions on powders I'll look into them and do more research.

I've got a few reloading manuals the don't seem to mention bullet manufacturers like PPU or the cast lead bullets the people at the club use for,the 44

Reloading manuals wont mention PPU bullets but they will have information on the type of bullet and its weight plus recommended cartridge over all lengths etc.

Try and get hold of a copy of the Lyman cast bullet manual its full of useful info. I think Adam (DROMIA) stocks it.
