What's the benefit of the bullets, oomans? What are their pros and cons relative to cast lead bullets and copper jacketed bullets?

I loaded up 10 rounds last night with 4.0gr of Hodgdon HP-38 which is the starting load for FMJ. Shot them at the club this evening and I am really impressed, grouped considerably better than any of the factory ammo I had been using. I checked with one of our club members who is an experienced bullet maker (.308, .50 BMG), Lead caster, reloader and RFD, ammo supplier and he checked his data and confirmed that 4.0 grains was fine 4.4 being the Max for FMJ. He said it was obvious looking at my other targets shot with factory that I had hit on the perfect load for my rifle.
I'm really happy with the results
