Being suspicious has its place.

As I said clearly in my second post and reply to the comment that has just slightly annoyed me, if anyone had taken the time to review my previous posts then it would become clear I am not who some may think I am !

I rarely post on here unless it is something I have encountered or assisting others. This ocassion I was asking for some assistance myself. If one cannot have a Discussion in General Discussion and ask for confirmation of a point then clearly what is the point.

I very much doubt I will get an apology - but one can hope. It is because of exactly this sort of occurrence that I generally refrain from posting in Forums.

Surely if someone asks a question and gets the correct answer then that's as it should be on here??. A journo could just as easily have asked the police direct if application fees are refundable and made up a story from that.

Anyway, many people think that journalists just make anti gun stuff up or quote from one of their tame liars ...I thought we all knew that.

Treating every newcomer, or occasional poster with suspicion is hardly friendly is it..? Just saying..

We all know that all journalists are integrity free scumbags so blame them not any messenger. It never matters what people actually say the scumbag journalists will always twist and misrepresent it to their own agenda.

Bloody right, it was the media wiping up the hysterical sheeple with lies that got us most of the stupid bans !! For some idiotict reason governments listen to the media and think that what the media prints is what the public wants. All the lies printed about gun owners just to sell their crappy rags, although I think there is also a higher agenda at play.

Blimey, get a life, peeps!! Not all journalists have long red hair or work for the Sun.

OK..............David Attenborough, John Pilger, Orla Guerin, Robert Peston...................plus many of the 882 killed since 1992 while doing their job.

I think you're confusing journalists with tabloid hacks, in which case, no, I can't show you any.

I am aware of Attenborough, Pilger and Pestons writings and have to say that although they are a tad more in depth in their writings than many, however their biases clearly come through, Peston's are a bit more subtle than the other perhaps, which probably explains why he always sounds as though he has chronic constipation.

For all their erudite writings experience has shown me that what we get to read is still not to be trusted.

As for putting their lives in jeopardy, their choice and not always a welcome one by those on the ground at the time.

I never deliberately read or listen to any journalists word smithing nowadays and certainly don't feel any poorer for it. Uninformed I may be but I am certainly no less wiser than those who claim to be well informed.

I am sure that there must be the odd journalist who tries hard to hold some integrity but when we see their writings in the context of the whole unaccountable shabby media circus that pay them for their words their profession is tarred with bias and spin that is beyond redemption.

CNN and BBC are the epitome of everything Dromia says according to many..
