Not had my visit yet. I'm sure I read on here that this sort of safe was ok for ammo or did I dream it?
take litterally anything that ways more than an apple, twist the unlock handle till it stops, smack the top of the plastic a few times and the handle will pop past the lock
You been on youtube by any chance bradaz? :D

I have two GDK gun safes (a six and a three) plus one of their ammo safes. My "Police inspection" involved the FAO peering at them from around the corner and then muttering "that's okay".

Can't fault the construction of them however and they are certainly cheap enough. If I need another I'll certainly buy again.

Downside - the lock mechanism on the ammo safe protrudes a long way into the safe limiting capacity and on the gun safes you can't take the key out of the lock whilst its unlocked.

Pretty sure my ammo safe is GDK. No worries with it at all.

There's a very good reason for that.....

I was warned off keypad safes as previously posted, they are easy to open if you know how and unfortunately, there are plenty of youtube videos to show you.

I use the B&Q large key safes for ammo storage, they are solidly made with a multi lever lock and you can't remove the key without locking the safe first, which lessens the chance of accidently leaving them open.

At about £45 each they are good value (10% off on old codgers day!)

I've a 6 gun GDK, not Chinese made but UK made. I rang him & requested holes drilled in specific spots & a colour change of the interior & he obliged. Now my only gripe is the weld on the back had split so I rang up & was told I could have a replacement or part refund so went with the latter. Police tried a crowbar on mine & it held up. For the money, worth a punt.
