if we are certified ok and our right to arms havent been forfeit, then how can it be legal / correct to ban some types of firearms to us ? its contridiction in terms ! oh wait i'm applying logic and common sense go gun laws !

Yeah sorry about the wording, what can I say I was excited about the possibility and also heading off for a big PSG comp where I probably wouldn't have internet access and typing in the back of a car!

Clearing silliness like this out of the firearms legislation has got to be a good thing so lets hope it does go through :good:

Hopefully this sensible rule change will be adopted. Currently we have a situation were a club member might want to sell a LBR/LBP or S1 shotgun and an interested person isn't allowed to try it out to see if it suits them. Even sillier, both my Dad and I owned LBP and yet technically we weren't allowed to shoot each others pistols.

i have written to my mp stating the following amedment i suggest you write to your mp stating the same changes which are as follows

I would like to see an amendment to clause 81 (now section 107) to state the following after (5b) insert :-



107 guidance to police officers in respect of firearms



(5) Before issuing guidance under this section, the Secretary of State must



consult—





(a) the National Police Chiefs’ Council, and





(b) the chief constable of the Police Service of Scotland.





(c) the National rifle Association and The British Association for Shooting and Conservation.
