The nicest were probably the German combination guns, these "drillings" were issued to aircrew ... they certainly seem to hold their money to an eye watering level.


The head of the Luftwaffe was Herman Goering who was also Reich Master of the Hunt and minister of the German Forestry Service with a life long passion of beautiful firearms. Surely he could not let his pilots use some poxy tin pot rifles, hence the M30. Less than 3,000 were issued, making it one of the rarest issued WW2 German weapon. So, in all logic, the price tag matches the extreme rarity.

Joe, what are your thoughts on it as a field gun?

Its a great little gun very small and light so very easy to carry about the place.

Very reliable and obviously has the advantage of a shotgun for nice and close and a rifle for those further away shots.

I find the sights a bit big so not ideal for precision shooting but that's not the point in the thing.

Only down side I find is no ejectors and the .22 case can be a little fiddly to get out sometimes so don't expect a quick follow up shot.

I have seen a few other calibers like .22 hornet and 20 gauge guns which may be a little more practical.

But the guns is brilliant and would recommend it for rough shooting.

Anything i missed just let me know.
