My apologies to the original poster for going of topic.
The load I used most was 35gr. of VV N140 for 2129 fps. This is good all the way out to 500 yards and for 6 consecutive "V" bulls at 300 one time. As always the problem is the nut behind the trigger otherwise they would shoot much better.

45-90 The Lyman Postell is a good off the shelf design. I use it in my 45-70.
You can pan lube with appropriate lube. (natural if using BP)
You can get these boolits from a few specialist casters in the UK.

Do not waste your money on JPW, especially at that price as it comes here from the states not being available in the UK.
All the JPW does is add carnuba wax to the alox and the process is a real faff on involving cooking of the solvents in JWP and then replacing them with white spirit.
The carnuba/alox mix is called 45/45/10 after the proportions and fortunately is now available commercially at a friendly price from your local RFD.

well I thought the information I would receive would thorough and it is, I have lots of questions about casting and general bullet moulds but thank you so very very much for all this information

If you appreciate the art of an excellent mould maker then this Leo Krannen one should get your juices going.
Now that is an excellent mould, a Lee mould cannot compare with such quality and cannot be called excellent by any stretch of the imagination.
At times barely adequate might apply to Lee but that is about as far as it goes.
