Those sights certainly look the part! But that's not far off how much I paid for the rifle! :o Maybe keep an eye out for a 2nd hand one coming around if there is any. Would you happen to know by any chance where I could get a matching Bayonet for it? I've found one website so far, I was just wanting some price comparison really.
Classic Rifle, the best place to get your bayonet is from Andy Allwood. Link below
http://www.tfsa.co.uk/allwoods_gun_rooms.htm

Andy is 'The' man if you want anything Scmidt Rubin. Last I heard, he had a few boxes of bayonets and spares, including bandoleers etc just a few months ago. He also has a few dozen K31 as well in stock. He really is a wonderful chap and the prices are very fair. I would certainly try him first.

Yes, you are right about the price of the dioptre sights. They are easily more expensive than the rifles. But something worth while having if you want to shoot that extra distance. I am glad I bought mine. There is a dealer who sells them from Europe, hence we actually get to escape the tax man on this!

Thanks for the replies. Allwood is the only place where I'd managed to find them as it happens, and the reason I was trying to get some comparison. I've read elsewhere he's deemed Mr. Schmidt Rubin for his stock and knowledge, but I'm just searching for the best deal.

My German isn't quite up to snuff but I reckon I found it on there:
"Bajonett M18, Schmidt Rubin K31 und K11, sehr gut 55,00 €"
Which is about £48. Sounds like a good price! Cheers for that Lapua338!

Hi kennyc,

Did you purchase your new aquisition very recently?

Has Andy Allwood have more of these left in stock as I quite fancy another one?

BTW If you enjoy classic rifles everyone should have one of these!

I like the look of the .69 cannon, a combination of metal and wood and black powder, always a good start. Time for a new thread to save hijacking this any further.
