I email them with a form I made myself, if you want a copy PM me your email address and I'll send you a PDF version it.

Or just email them the details :)

As above, Gloucestershire accept emails and have an automated reply that specifically states "treat this email as a receipt acknowledgement". Both emails archived off so all good in my books.

Inverness is happy with emails, so I assume Police Scotland in it's entirety is; just make sure you get a 'read receipt'.

Aye,
Seller sends in form as does buyer....That's the way it's supposed to be done.

If I buy from an RFD, I normally post the paperwork that came with the purchase. If I buy privately, I just send an email with all the relevant details. Never had a problem with Cheshire Constab. :good:

But then Surrey are actually very good...
Exactly the same for West Mercia, nice and easy, and no forms!

Derbyshire accept emails it don't let you know they've received them so I always put a note in my calendar to call them and check the change has been made.

I email the Met too and even though I set up delivery and read receipts, I get the delivery receipt but have never, so far, received a read receipt. It is as if the email client is set up to either ask the recipient if a receipt should be sent or not send any. It is a while since my last change, so they may have modified their processes.

I usually post in my FAC every two or three changes just to get the handwritten parts typed up - even though transcription is not a strength of theirs... occasionally need to resend when things go awry :-)

Essex do the same which i print and keep
