Same as South Africa circa 1989 would be fine with me.

It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

I think he is hinting that in future you try using Google.Alpha1 wrote:JFG =?

Thank you I tried that. I find I spend hours wasting my time googling and most times I end up still not knowing what the f--k they are talking about. It takes a extra couple of minutes to type in laugh out loud as opposed to LOL. What's the problem with that. Unfortunately us old age pensioners were not taught at school this strange new language you young whipper snappers speak.
Write half a sentence then chuck a couple of letters in and let us all rush over to google for a hour to find out what they are talking about but in most cases google like me does not know what the f--k you are talking about.
Its easy enough if you can not be bothered to explain to me what your CCW or what ever means I just stop following the thread. No big deal.
Like this one for instance I wont bother looking at this thread again.

Speaking for yourself I hope as you aren't that much older than me. Every day is a school day if you're willing to take the time to learn, in this changing world it's keep up or get left asking questions like a sad helpless old man.Unfortunately us old age pensioners were not taught at school this strange new language you young whipper snappers speak.
I get the feeling looking through some of your previous posts that you enjoy playing the lost helpless old guy.

- Doormen/staff trained with firearms to provide security for establishment where CCW is not permitted. Possibly sourced from retiring service personnel.
The above does not taker into account to complete mess the private security industry is.
Door men FFS the biggest bunch of Walt's and wan bees walking the planet, I should know enough of them keep applying for Jobs with me and fail to get them.
Some of the BS certificates they band around are pointless. A fine example is a Firearms retention certificate from some BS kung foo type outfit:
Proudly shown to me by a person who is only ever going to work in the UK could not pass army tests (medical and mental) when asked why he did the training he replied in case we get armed.
FFS most of the doormen in our town are Bus drivers by day (nothing wrong with that). But Brag about being CP or body guards, hate to have the bus driver thing pointed out to them when talking BS to girls in the queue.
Not being funny but the ability to say "you are not on the list you are not coming in" and letting girls to the front of the line and being up for a fight is not my definition of some one who should be armed.
I know the Security industry inside and out and that is the last area of the population I would arm. If you are lucky %5 of the people in it would be safe to carry a firearm.

Some are aready alowed to carry a PPW in the UK if you show need, no training required the last i heard.
Why would you set the bar any higher than it is for the police to carry firearms, two weeks basic training. The baseline would be the FAC application procedure.
- Mandatory minimum bi-monthly training/practice for the first two years before CCW issued, monthly training/practice thereafter.
