The Mail has a few better pictures of the guns.

The Mail seem to think they're machine guns... 8-)

And a load of air rifles and pellets too - those black guns in the mail photos being rotary mag fed air rifles. !

Strange - as air guns can be bought freely in Turkland.....all of which would be S1 in the UK with energies around 20 - 35 ft.lbs

All of a sudden the "live" ammo count may be a lot less than inferred - a wee tin of 500 pellets being 500 rounds of "ammunition"

Even Reuters say "200,000 cartridges" when clearly there are 40 tins of airgun pellets there.

I believe the air rifles shown are Umarex Walther 1250 Dominators.

That's 20,000 rounds by the silly UK definition.

Looks I was out on my power outputs..

Even the air pistols have quite a punch : http://www.hatsan.com.tr/en_at_p1_qe.html

Yep, but they were nicked in Greece, weren't they? I'm not sure if everything has to be on "ticket" in Greece, including air above 1 joule. I may be mistaken...

Most of the guns look like cz/brno rimfires....what the tins of airgun pellets are for?
Perhaps Isis are getting desperate.

Rimfire and air in order to train new recruits to the Peshmerga/YPG. They are Kurdish groups facing ISIS whilst also having the snot knocked out of them by the Turks....

Sub-calibre training is a long established practice.
