The BASC comment was meant in a light hearted way, I should probably have used a smiley face :)

I don't think anyone knows what to expect numbers-wise for this as it's an unknown quantity. We're not spoilt for choice up here so I'll be going anyway, and I hope it goes well (but not too well!)
That is essentially the problem, we want shows to do well to make our sport grow but not too well so it becomes too big. It happened at Newark, I loved to go, when relocated to Stoneleigh I went once and I will probably not go again. At Stoneleigh I could not even chat with people I know, I had to shout across a crowd 8-)

I much preferred Newark as it was a bit more personal and I could stop and talk to people. The show was outgrowing Newark hence the move however I certainly did not expect the crowds when I eventually go in.

I went to the first Stoneleigh Park show and vowed never to go again, it was a nightmare and don't relish parking in Pig $hit, standing for an hour and a half queing to get in and then not being able to move once inside, I have heard it has improved since but don't know whether to give it another go, the northern show is too far for me.

Everyone tells me Stoneleigh has improved however a 20 minute walk with advance tickets and parking and the inability to speak to the people I went to see put me off and a few of them have since decided not to return so I really have no reason to attend at the moment. Having said that it is brilliant news to have a UK based shooting show which receives such huge attendance numbers.

So does the Shooting Shed have a stand. I'm just up the road from Harrogate I might just take a look.

Alpha1 the last trade stands we did were at Bisley for the Trafalgar and Imperial however I have a feeling they were phasing such things out and we did not attend in 2015. The problem for us is everything we only sell our own products and everything we make is bespoke. As such stock holdings are always low, typically a few F/TR bipods, 308 comparators and the more common cleaning rod guides, bag rider systems etc. Not a lot for people to see, having said that our stand has always been busy when we did do shows.
