Yes and didn't work out due to the letter and spirit of the Firearms legislation not being quiet the same. It is a place that we don't want to go.

Got caught up in this change by TNT during first week of the change, rifle coming from Scotland took 5 days to Surrey RFD, so prices up and worse service.

I drove 250 miles yesterday to pick up a rifle - cheaper than shipping it and the bonus was a visit tp my wholesalers

With the courier cost increase and the dropping fuel prices i suspect its going to become more and more attractive to do this!

Our separate account was activated by PF back in Nov, didn't have to do a thing and frankly was not even aware of the new separate account situation back then. I have since heard horror stories from fellow RFDs...especially as PF has gotten more and more busy with new accounts due to TNT customers contacting them.

Indeed, I spoke to an RFD earlier this week who had just been told he could no longer ship firearms with Parcelforce as he had the wrong sort of account. He is being quoted 10 days for the paperwork to be sorted. To say he was unhappy is an understatement.

I am going back to dealer next week to pick up my gun as he wont RFD it as price went through roof. 150 mile round trip with fish and chips at the sea side.
