if you want a hardcase, I got one of these, big enough for my rifle, small enough to go in the boot nicely. more than man enough to protect the gun cabinet to range

For now I've ordered a blackhawk sportster, so hopefully that will arrive I time to pickup the new rifle

I have this, it takes 2 AR type rifles in a bunk bed style, though I have had the Smith 15-22, An LR 9 and an LR 5.56 in no problem. Heavy when loaded like that but doable, fits nicely in to the boot of a Nissan Note.

HI Bam

The case is an SKB I series. 2 carbine case (bunk bed type )

Castle sticker was a gift from the wife, she is from SA, though I am partial to the odd quart or three.....

As you can hopefully see, the top and bottom are kept apart by the layer of foam between when laid inside, you should also see that there is plenty of room inside the case for extra stuff, as I said earlier I have had 3 in it, it does get a little heavy when packed that way but does not put any apparent stress or pressure on the hinges or clasps.

Looks like a great case, would probably need a longer model as my next AR will have 18" barrel plus the Dragon muzzle brake.
