Re: De Lisle carbine
I did some research on the De Lisle in 2001 at the Royal Armories. The originals had a 7.25 inch barrel (sourced from Thompson in the USA) so not really legal now. I hope your fellow member has one of the many copies floating around...Alpha1 wrote:One of our club members has a original he shoots it occasionally. Re: De Lisle carbine
the one on gunstar has awful looking sights!
not sure why it doesn't have a mag shield on it either, as the pics of seen of the ones in leeds show a full length shield on the later type where there is no tube coming out the suppressor, and on the other it has a short shield, not seen pics with none

Re: De Lisle carbine
I have an Armalon one and it very good fun to shoot. Don't think mine has a mag shield on it.
Re: De Lisle carbine
Mine shoots to around an inch at 25 yards. The biggest limitation are my eyes!!! They are good fun but expensive. If you consider that the only non modified part is the rear stock and but plate as far as I know. The rest is virtually hand made. I saw one "in the white" at C&G which is what made me buy one. They really are a work of art. I had a go of an original one a few years ago and it was a lot quieter but that had the 7.25" barrel not the 12.5 of the C&G so I suppose that's another 5" or so of moderator.

I enjoy my shooting but usually get a better group with the empty cases !!!!
