You think it's cold in Northumberland Christel? Hand in your Viking badge!

How about practical shotgun up here?
Hexham is the favourite. IF we decide to take the plunge.

Not to worry about finding a place to shoot, it is so cold up there that rifles freeze and polar bears are walking around outside.
Yep, another couple of months and we will be changing our tee shirts for long sleeve jobs.

Long sleeved shirt? that's grounds for expatriation anywhere North of Durham :D

A few years ago when Jared and I were in Florida in mid December we went to drop off our luggage at Virgins Downtown Disney check-in, it was a nice sunny 43F (6C) and all the check-in staff were wrapped up in massive coats, furry hats, gloves and scarves, I was stood there quite happily in a pair of shorts and a T-Shirt wondering if I'd missed something obvious in the weather report for the day :)

Carlisle Small Arms Club, Newby East (opposite Carlisle airport) usually has open PSG matches once a month/6 weeks. There's also matches held at Crocketford just over the Scottish border with a similar frequency. If you're UKPSA member they get announced on the forum.

Other than than that there's the PSG blags we do at Pittington, Co. Durham, although its a bit of a hike for the amount of shooting we do there and i'm not sure if non-members can come along now as there's so many people attend these days! Give the Mayfair Shooting Centre a ring if you're interested/to check though.

After that its down to Rossendale Fusiliers near Oldham or Diggle ranges.

You would, it is a proven fact that cold makes a car less efficient...

So all that money people spend on keeping engine temps down is wasted? ;)
