The G5s would shoot until their comms ceased.
Where was that BamBam?, was it Angola?.
Bay of Pigs

Yes, back in '88.

I believe part of Metal Gear solid 5 is set in the Angola/Zaire (modern day democratic republic of Congo) border and depicts the war that occurred. I know Cubans were there. Their spirits are in Havana, Hearts in Moscow and their graveyards in Angola/Mozamibque, etc. I hear the SADF did a number on them? That true?

The General commanding the Cuban forces in Angola, Arnaldo Ochoa Sanchez was executed by Fidel, I think that tells us something.

I heard that too, executed for incompetence. I wonder what kind of burial he got?
The official reason cited for his execution though was drug smuggling. I guess they needed a cover story.

My deeply ingrained dislike of officers means I didn't care how they buried him. Most of the orders came direct from Castro anyway.

I checked, he got an unmarked grave. I'm a bit intrigued at that remark as I myself am the great-great Grandson of a British Army Captain (from the Yorks and Lancs Regiment) and while he was a world war one officer (meaning I never got to meet him) I don't believe he ever got on the wrong side or hurt anyone (he actually left at the somme due to a shrapnel wound). Another cousin twice removed served in Kenya during the Mau Mau craziness. I'm guessing SADF officers weren't alot to shout about. Was it due to you being an English Speaker Bam Bam? You don't have to answer if you don't want to, but I know its an issue from a woman who lived there I knew a while back, said Afrikanners varied from neutral to very rude to her.

Too long to explain the issues faced by a British conscript in a foreign army, lets just say that I toasted his execution with copious amounts of whiskey when I heard.
