Police press officer spins from the hip, makes force look silly. I don't think they're actually using rifle scopes in lieu of binos.

That said, if they are aiming loaded weapons at people, that's a genuine public safety threat. Imagine the reaction if we muzzle-swept the cops who take over Short Siberia during the week on the grounds that we were birdwatching with a scoped Tikka...

And you are correct - BTW you need to request access to GoM, no longer enough to qualify I believe..come on in, they're nice people..they do not eat their kids as some would have you believe..
