why is it not a home made sterling? it uses a sterling mag, type of bolt and even looks like one

so why call it a sten?

I hear you on that, I think sten just makes people think more of lower quality and sterling being a better made gun so they say homemade "sten" and it makes more sense to people. Its ignorance but I guess that's what we deal with.

I don't think most people would know or care what the difference is to be honest. The vast majority of people don't have any knowledge of firearms, or any interest for that matter.

One assumes our associations are tearing him a new one over this...anyone know what his qualifications are other than being a dick? Seems he knows more then the HO, typical arrogant plod flogging the Numptie Party agenda. If he lies about this waht else does he lie about in jis job - maybe plants evidence etc??

I'd actually like someone to take him a pretty much done to current spec AK and say in front of a crowd of witnesses. Ok please show how easy it is, right now to reactivate this and you only have basic house hold tools for the job. When he fails, maybe its time for something less challenging like security at B&Q.
