I don't mean to hog this thread but I remember reading that you had resized condom bullets for your 7.35 carcano, if you don't mind I just wondered what you used and did you find the jacket on the bullet was still tight. I guess the closest to resize would be a .308 any tips or tricks you have would be appreciated.

Resizing condom bullets is some thing Iv never done I'd be interested to know how that works. I'm a big fan of loverin cast boolits. I quite fancy a Carcano its on my wish list only problem is the iron sights. Hmmm

Resizing condom bullets is easy enough, a touch of Unique case lube and go to with a push through sizer die.

Beware the bullets may come out less accurate than they went in due to the relative springback of the lead core and the copper alloy condom.

So if you wanted a diameter of say .300 would you go for a sizing die slightly smaller, say .298 or .299 to allow for the spring back.

you know, i've always wondered what condom bullets were, I assumed that it was to do with shape, like a roundnosed rifle boolit. so it was with some trepidation I put it into google, luckily a hit from the cast boolits forum result was first, so i wouldn't be testing the works firewall ... so it is just a general term for FMJ bullets then?

Condom bullets don't have to be jacketed.

See post number 254. ;) :D
