From you guys's experience is that correct to say that most of the courses of fire are shot at 300 yards or under ?

Thanks for the links :good: I'd be interested in the Urban Contact Match but a 600mile round trip isn't really worth it for 60rds fired. Are there CSR matches held at The Phoenix (preferably the UCM style)?

Why not come and make a day of it and shoot two matches. Double the round count, challenging courses of fire from 100 to 600.

The Urban Contact Match (a big favourite of many) is being shoot on the 4th October together with an additional 2 other matches, so why no travel down on Saturday and join us for a practice on Century, have a beer or two in the evening and shoot the matches on Sunday. Happy days shakeshout

I prefer snap shooting/shooting quickly (less of that sniggering) and the further away from a target you get the slower you have to go (well, most people anyway).

The rest of my year is pretty much accounted for. I was actually hoping to get to Bisley this week for a UKPSA practical rifle match but my car put the kibosh on that 8-)

Are the UCM type matches held throughout the year or only in the Winter League?

Have you read the October course of fire which techguy posted a link to? If you have then you will observe that all the practices are undertaken in a limited period of time and there is a lot of 'snap' shooting practices in a variety of shooting positions.
Have you attended a CSR match Blackstuff? if you haven't and need someone to shadow you then let me know and I make sure I'm squadded with you.

Diggle is far more do-able and could be done in one day. I'll see if i can mobilise the troops for a shoot down there. :good:

If i ever do manage to get my backside in gear to go down to Bisley, i'll be sure to take you up on that offer Cad Monkey cheers
