Opted out of paying the license years ago, spend the money I save on guns and ammo.

The picture in the article refers to his stance on fox hunting (I assume everyone who has posted here actually read it...)- He is against fox hunting for fun, regardless of how it's done; which is an agenda I agree with...but I think you'll find that he wouldn't argue against all circumstances/reasons for having to shoot foxes.

To say that he is anti shooting is just rot...please read: http://www.independent.co.uk/environmen ... 16594.html

Personally I like him and his programs...he might be controversial, and a bit odd at times, but he knows his stuff and when it comes to conservation issues he is very logical and pragmatic.

Dunno about 'most' - I've lived in 2 that never even heard of such a thing. Just sayin'......

No TV licence here, they just laugh when you mention it.
Political Correctness is the language of lies, written by the corrupt , spoken by the inept!

Two thirds of the countries in Europe (and only one doesn't pay any public money) and half of Asia have them. Africa has a smattering of them, aS WELL.

They're not uncommon. I don't agree with them, but it's not like it's a UK only phenomena.

Well, maybe. But it's a very strange idea to me (and I think to most North Americans). I really wouldn't want to be the politician who tried to institute that over 'ere.....
