I fitted a low power scope for now. Next step is to get some shooting in and see how it goes. I'm still wary of the short but stock scope rash may be a issue. fingerscrossed I need more guns I'm getting bored preferably milsurps. I need some thing new to play with.

Strangely enough, there was thousands SMLEs drppped in the Dumkerque perimeter, mich more than anything else...some were stiill found some 20 years ago.

As a ypind boy, I rememnber along a barn wall several Bren wirh a pile of loaded mags together with what I identified long after as being a Boyes rifle. My father and friends were impressed with the size of the cartridges...A clip with 5 rounds remaining in my family for a while.... The only pther 'dropped" rifle i saw in the whole area other then british was a Lebel...

Thanks for the abandonned british equipment and black or blue die, many men in the area were clothed for the whole period with excellent new trousers and blousons!!!

The Kriegsmarine U-boot crews were also very grateful for all that British army clothing ...

I took it to the range and had a plink I'm not happy with the short stock the scope is to near to my eye for my liking. I'm to nervous wary of scope rash I'll probably take it back off.

How about fitting a recoil boot? They were made specifically for the MAS for launching grenades, adds a couple of extra inches to the length of pull, would solve the problem of scope kiss.
