Re: airsoft rails on SGC 9mm
It's the bit in the picture above. This is a C02 Brocock I tinkered with a few years ago and put an airsoft DD rail on. The bolt-up face is the brown bit between the barrel nut and the receiver.

Re: airsoft rails on SGC 9mm
ahh i see now (i never really liked m4's for airsoft, so only owned 4 or so, none with that type of fixing - that i fiddled with anyway)
well the type of rail i'd want to use is the traditional way, clamp down onto the nut, rather than bolt onto the spacer behind it

OK well I guess unless you can find a barrel nut that fits your airsoft rail then it's a no-go. Better safe than sorry.

What rail are you after? The Hera Arms 9 inch hand-guard in the for sale section looked pretty nice at £65.

*edit* got the name right at last....
basically, you can't even buy the proper rail in the states. it is only sold as a upper/barrel kit or a complete rifle

Bugger, I know what it's like when you set your heart on something... I've got a ST BAR 11.3" rail on my ST-22, it just covers the Noveske KX3 and I would have flown to the states to get one if I had to... :)

Re: airsoft rails on SGC 9mm
yeah it sucks, but that's life. its dumb so i'll just move on. I just hate that stuff is so hard to get over here. I still need other bits anyway, including a new foregrip for my 1897, but most places won't ship here of course, except boyds, but after the last debacle, I really don't want to buy from them, I also need to make some new screws for it too. then i need another reddot for my Mateba. I'd still like a comp for the SGC LR9 but at least i do have a moderator for it. then i also want to try out a bipod on it.
but most of all, i'd really like some time to sit, chill out and reload some ammo!! i have almost nothing in the cabinets.
plus i'd like to get a bora br99 and get into PSG. find the 31cal pistol i want and buy a k31/ or 11/92
so i guess this rail can fall by the wayside

Sounds like you've got plenty of things to keep you distracted.
