Well be interesting to see what happens in my case,,,,should hear something soon hopefully,,,,bank holidays considered,,,I will of course keep you all informed,,,as to whats what when it all comes back from Police HQ. No problems with my local FEO by the way I know him from the job,,,and I also knew the Female one aswell from the job who used to deal with me before I moved house,,,they are both good eggs>>>not had a problem before by the way,,,but then again I aint applied for a varitaion before!!

Anyway when I know the forum will know....Wait Out!!

Hope you get what your after without the hassle then .
Just heard my local FA Dept has made cut backs in staff the head guy has gone and the two senior guys are sharing the job , one of them being my FEO , so dont know if that will slow down applications now , not that Iam doing any in the forseeable future .

Well I recieved my old certificate back from the Police today,,so something is moving,,and no bad news as yet anyway...

Well I've had my old FAC back from the Police and they have taken the £40.00 fee out of my account and I aint heard anything negative,,,so hopefully I will be getting a visit from the Police shortly,,,and the variation for a .243 granted on my renewed FAC...eh?

So far so good.

Ha, just this minute had a call from the Firearms Department,,,The FEO will be here with me and my renewal to check my guns and security at 1530hrs today,,,he is a nice bloke retired copper (old time copper) who I know and he has been here before,,best get the kettle on eh??

Well the FEO has been we had a good chat, did some reminising, exchanged some yarns from days gone by and about former Police Officers that we both know/knew,,and generaly put the world to rights as you do,,,man are they Busy these days,,,
Anyway all seems ok, he was very happy with my security arrangements etc, etc, my RENEWED FAC will be in the post in a few days,,,and he has recommended my variation be accepted,, and he even upgraded my gun cabinet from 5 to 7 guns, because I got it all alarmed....so result eh... :) :)
