Re: Europa LBR
has anybody seen anywhere an Alfa for less than or around £400 ? Just wondering. A few guys at our club have Taurus and one has an Alfa but all of them agree that Alfa is the best: better trigger, lighter... And this coming actually from the ones owning Taurus.

Re: Europa LBR
Those are the last ones imported in. Taurus has discontinued the 66 and other related LBR's. So once those are sold, there are no more. Also the price has gone up horrendously, I remember being a teen and seeing gunmart ads for £450 for them (and for the Ruger's too).polemass wrote:Huh?plenty of new! Re: Europa LBR
Taurus have Always been rubbish.....a joke of a gun..
When someone says "it's not about the money" you know what? it probably is all about money!
Re: Europa LBR
And my dad had a Alfa before his Super Redhawk. The Redhawk is flawless, the Alfa got rounds stuck (might have been the 38 fiochi though). It was not that good. Unless you can find a Redhawk, the Europa and Calisto 38 are the way to go. Might be expensive, but they have Smith Frames. You get what you pay for, hell my Buckmark is much better pistol than the grandpower I had ever was.the running man wrote:Taurus have Always been rubbish.....a joke of a gun..

Re: Europa LBR
Alfa are muzzle loading right? Not lbp?
Re: Europa LBR
They are both, LBP's exist and muzzle loaders exist that westlake brings in. The LBP's are brought in by merseyside armory.safetyfirst wrote:Alfa are muzzle loading right? Not lbp?
Re: Europa LBR
Are they still trading? I've shot them a few emails and such but I haven't got any response. And I don't want to have to drive across the country to Liverpool (insert obligatory scouser joke about tires and bricks here) just to see if they're in.Sixshot6 wrote:They are both, LBP's exist and muzzle loaders exist that westlake brings in. Haven't yet. One thing I'm learning as I get into the shooting business in the UK is that it's a bit out of synch technologically with what I'm used to.
Still not as bad as some wargaming companies I've brought from. Some will only accept orders in on fax!
I'll try giving them a call tomorrow to see what the status is.
