Re: How about this bad boy for the rabbits?
Out of curiosity, what would the stance of ranges be on bump-firing?
(If I recall correctly, burst-fire was legal until the late 80s - was that allowed at most fullbore ranges?)

Re: How about this bad boy for the rabbits?
I would ask the shooter to stop bump firing on a DE range. Endof.
That is partly a safety consideration and partly because I strongly believe it is the sort of thing that can cast a shadow on shooters and sooner or later someone in power will get wise to it and we will either see S/A's banned or limited to 5 shot magazines. Fine in the privacy of a quiet private range but on a DE range - no way.

What's a DE range if you don't mind my asking?
Re: How about this bad boy for the rabbits?
Defence Estates - an MoD range.

I will add that I have no issue with such antics if performed in a safe manner, I like tracer ammunition and automatic weapons and things that go bang and will use them given any opportunity but... on DE ranges we need to be so careful and better to tone the fun down slightly and be allowed back the following week than get the club slung off.
Private ranges - well great if they allow it

Looks like a bit of fun to me, not wanting to rock any one's boat, sat firmly on the fence. But it looks like fun any way I look at it.
I think the main reason I took to stalking instead of paper punching were the "RULES". Millions of the bloody things. As for the stalking, get out of the motor, load up and get cracking. Way to go.

I have to agree. I had pulled a muscle in my back so I asked the range officer at my university range if I could shoot sitting down instead of prone. She said no, they only allow prone shooting. What the hell? :shock:Angelfire wrote: I think the main reason I took to stalking instead of paper punching were the "RULES". Millions of the bloody things.
