On no account use Accurate 2520 (or other) ball powder - they don't always ignite in this large case with so much air space.

I use vit 160 & 42gr with 120gr hpbt's . Never had a walker yet ! used the same recepie with 139g s/p , same results. All hit the floor like a pupet with the strings cut.

The 6,5x55 has a very good reputation abroad and seems to be the preferred round for the European hunter, the cost of factory ammunition is a real give-away in this respect.
I however have just found a 6,5x284 (many thanks to Lapua338 of this forum) So I need to start a new reloading thread
